Groan. Marketing Comics

November 30, 2007 | Written by annliu | Filed Under Make Money Online

marketing_comics.jpg When I got Jimmy’s emailed that with a link and said “Check this out. You’ll love it.” I had a feeling something was up, since the last time I clicked on a “check this out” link from Jimmy it was one of those “Look closely at this picture…” tricks where something jumps out! It scared the heck out of me! ;-)

So, I *carefully* clicked on the link and found myself going through 15 comics about Internet Marketing while laughing (and groaning) the whole time.

As an Internet marketer, you may feel like nobody outside your online buddies understand exactly what you do all day at home. And, sometimes you feel a bit like an alien trying to tell people stories about your day-to-day life.

Jimmy D. Brown, one of my favorite online teachers, created 15 Marketing Comics that you’ve got to check out. No one in your family will have a clue what they mean, but you’ll love them.

They are about what it’s like to be an Internet Marketer. Some will make you laugh out loud and some will make you groan, but all are worth taking a minute to peek at.

It totally free and totally funny :-D

My personal favorite is the guy who bought too many ebooks. (see above left image), I have been there and done that…

The series of comics has two free reports offered as bonuses.

Click here to take a look. They’re really FUN!

Have yourself some good laugh … Enjoy.

Is a Hoax - Four Hour Work Week?

November 29, 2007 | Written by annliu | Filed Under Make Money Online, Success Tips

I’m in the middle of reading this book you may have heard of… It’s called “The 4-Hour Workweek” and it’s written by a 30-year-old millionaire named Timothy Ferriss.

The book’s philosophy essentially boils down to this…

If you manage your time, your goals, and your priorities effectively, it’s totally possible for you to generate a comfortable, full-time income working just 4 hours per week.

Seriously though — who doesn’t want that? No wonder this book’s become an instant best-seller.

So far as I know, since the book released, Tim has come under some serious fire from prominent entrepreneurs who are whining (let’s be honest) that designing your ‘ideal lifestyle’ of minimal work and maximum play is not that simple… which takes YEARS of hard work, blood, sweat, and tears to make that happen!

In some ways, it is true, but it is differ …

For example, someone with clear, intentional goals and a step-by-step action plan will accomplish wayyyyy more in 60 minutes than someone who is mired in information overload and analysis paralysis will accomplish in 8 hours.

I’ve seen high school drop outs, retirees who are downright scared of computers, and even teenagers achieve *massive* on the Internet ‘working’ as little as 4 hours per week, and in some cases, even less than that!

I’ve know many people (myself as well) who have started their own moneymaking Internet businesses from scratch with achieved big , the result did NOT come as how much time they’ve spent working on their businesses, it is more about what they’ve DONE with the time they’ve spent.

It’s possible — I’ve seen it, I’ve done it, and I’d like you to do it, too.

Keep in mind of this, you don’t have to know it all, learn it all, or spend days at a time researching your next step to generate a full-time income on the Internet. You simply need to surround yourself with people who have the expertise that you don’t, and let them steer you along towards .

Give yourself a chance and learn from the experts who are willing to openly share their expertise and stand over your shoulder as you grow your own moneymaking website.

So get yourself a copy of 4 Hours Work Week today.

Goodbye trying to fit your social life around your 9-to-5 job, and hello freedom and prosperity!

Enjoy.

Click2Sell - Alternative to Clickbank

November 28, 2007 | Written by annliu | Filed Under Programs & Networks

click2sell.gifA new competitor to clickbank has arrived, it is an affiliate network and marketplace called Click2Sell.

After I go through the site, I would say it is actually a new generation powerful affiliate network with built in marketplace, where affiliates and merchants can sell their products easily and with no worries about getting unpaid.

It listed down a lot more countries for people who want to join the network to be an affiliate and get paid, which clickbank doesn’t includes, such country like Indonesia, and China etc.

Affiliate marketing is one of the best ways to promote, sell products online and earn extra money, there are many people in this world are looking for the opportunities to get involve into this type of business, unfortunately because we all living in different countries, so each of those countries have different kind of reputations, no matter you are living in the poor or rich, good or bad places from West, Middle East, South East Asia and Asia countries etc.

Because of the limitations and certain type of conditions, many affiliate networks don’t includes those countries into their payout list for whatever the reasons they believe, which bring away the opportunities for lots of people to make money online.

Now with Click2Sell’s launched - you get chance to get on the affiliate marketing train and start your own internet business.

Advanced tracking is one of its attractions for vendors and affiliates - Vendors are able to see how many views, visitors and sales their salesletter has, and track conversion rate, refund rate and all income. And also you can create different tracking channels to test different traffic sources and its profitability.

You can also track which keywords bring sales. All merchants and affiliates are able to track every keyword which brings them views, visitors and sales on a Keyword Report. “You will know which keywords were used to find your website, how many visitors they brought and how many sales were made - for each separate keyword.”

The other cool thing is tracking your pay-per-click campaigns is also possible. “All members can see which keywords used on Google Adwords, Yahoo! Search Marketing and FindWhat bring the most visitors and sales - you can even track the conversion ratio for each keyword. You will be able to track every aspect of your affiliate’s performance - how many views, visitors and sales each of them bring, how many affiliates promote your product, how many of them are active.”

Facebook Experience

November 25, 2007 | Written by annliu | Filed Under Alert & Opinion & News

facebook.gif There are tons of social media websites that you can become a part of today, like Linked In, MySpace and Bebo, they all have their good and bad. Lots of marketers says is quite possibly the best websites for networking personally and professionally, because among of all the social networks, is a gem when it comes to all around marketing and networking.

I have been using for quite sometime now, and it is also a very good marketing tool to add to your marketing plan as well.

Through the , you can build your first-class profile, make and add friends, join groups, list your events, send virtual gifts to whomever you want, use some cool apps, build a community, syndicate your Blog using RSS and so forth.

There are just so many cool stuff you can download and play around from your account. I noticed that many people have great fun by using and add those third party applications to their personal account and share around with friends.

However, when it comes to the privacy, how the things go then?

I came cross Charlene Li’s(from Forrester) Close encounter with Facebook Beacon, in her post, she wrote,

…. — they aren’t in control of what their Beacon partners do to notify people that this is happening. can only control this from their own interface, when the information has already been transmitted between sites, and without my explicit permission ….

You can read Charlene Li’s experience story here, a good learning experience.
