Import Blog Feed to Your FaceBook Page

As you know, Facebook has this rule – once your facebook friend’s list hit to 5k, you will not allow to accept any more new people. Unless you remove somebody from your list, or your friend remove themselves out from your list.

Fortunately, there an alternative way out, Facebook allows you to set up Fan pages – visible to unregistered people and without have restriction on the numbers of people or fans you can have.

I haven’t thought to create a Facebook Fan Page only until my profile account friends hit the limit back to few days ago.

Well, in a short story, the first thing I did after created my facebook fan page is to import blog feed to my account because I want blog posts automatically appear on my Facebook page.

To share with you how it is works, following are the simple steps toward how you can import your blog (using the RSS feed) into your Facebook page (rather than profile).

1. Go to your Facebook page (or create a new one here)
2. Click on the Notes tab
3. Select ‘Write a new note’
4. Once you’re in this window, you can access the Notes settings.

5. Click on the Notes icon, then on the right-hand side of the Notes area, you can choose to import a blog.
6. Just copy and paste the location of your blog’s RSS feed.
7. The page will then start to import your blog.
8. After while, your blog post will show up in your Facebook page, you’ll see something like this one:

Your facebook page is different to your facebook profile – a profile is a personal account and it must be linked to an identifiable individual. Facebook page, on the other hand, can be set up by an individual to promote a brand, product or service.

One of the many advantages of setting up a facebook page is that people can become fans of that page. You, as an admin can control the page, such as send the messages, edit or remove sections, and control the information to an extent.

There are lots of blogs give instruction on how to import a feed into your profile but not give instructions specifically for a fan page (I have trouble to find it). So I noted down the above instructions in a rare fit of helpfulness. Hope you find it helpful.
