Do This When You Feel Stuck

Have you ever felt a bit stuck in some area of your life? Like for example, maybe your income isn’t increasing as you’d like? Maybe your internet marketing business don’t go nowhere that near your expectation? Maybe you still find yourself getting stressed out in certain situations? Maybe your meditation skills don’t seem to be improving? etc.

Chances are, at one point in your life you set a big goal. You got excited, maybe created a plan, and started taking action. Then, the next thing you know, you are motivation is GONE and you are constantly encountering struggle every step of the way. And to make it worse, you have no clue why it is happening, and to live the life you have always dreamed about since childhood becomes like just a dream, which might not ever come true!

So what the heck is going on here? Well, when I look at my own life experiences, I know exactly what you mean, and here’s my take on it.

We become what we practice. It’s as simple as that. What you’ll do today is about 99% habits that have become deeply ingrained.

Everything from how you get out of bed in the morning, the types of food you eat for breakfast, your ability to focus and concentrate and let go while meditating, the kinds of conversations you have with your loved ones, friends and other people, how you think about your happiness, relationships, health and finances, and the actions you take or you don’t take etc. All of that is about 99% practiced habit.

We are human beings, the superior creature among all of the other life on this earth that created by the God, feel stuck sometime is understandable. I found the main reason for that is because our will-power is highly overrated. But the fact is that our capacity to changes ourselves and our results through will-power is actually extremely limited.

Let me explain – the force of our existing practiced habits creates most of our behavior. Trying to change all of that in a single day can feel like trying to swim through an over-powering tsunami.

Just think about this, after you already formed habits for so many years, and get your routines up. Suddenly, one day, you realized that your life needs to make some changes, you want to improvement, you want to have a more success and meaningful life, you want to see your business grow, if it is a small change in your life, sure it can be done fairly easily. But if you have been practiced one thing for your entire life, and suddenly you decided you want something different, it is true fact of that making the change can often be tough and challenge at first.

If you face such situation, I find the best way to do is to re-define what it means to be successful. If “success” means you MUST do it perfectly at the very first time then that’s not going to be very helpful!

In the physical world we are living now, day in and day out, we face lots of challenges, with the more challenging issues, it’s important to look at the whole journey, not just look at the small steps forward and backward.

When you re-define success, in that day, if you take one or two small actions, you will be successful. After you’ve been practicing that for a few weeks, you will got them ingrained, once you get that part done, it might be the time to raise the bar a little and add in another tweak to your daily practice. In the other words, you grow your mind-body practice incrementally and that is how you build that real momentum.

Soon or later, you will make bursts of improvement in leaps and bounds. But at the first, on the surface, you might not see much happening, it is a process and it takes time to get there.

Transforming yourself and your results is often like a ship docked in the harbor. When you see the ship, you see there are many bonds that tie the ship to the dock, to make ship move, if you untie one of those ropes, you will see nothing appears to happen, the ship does not move, then you untie another, and another and another, and you might see the ship rock or move slightly but ultimately stays where it is. Until you untie the final rope and then the ship suddenly is propelled forward.

It is no different as what you are doing, once you see those small changes start to working, your job is to keep doing what you’re doing and make small adjustments as you go.

However, if you’re getting started and nothing seems to be happening, it’s critical that you continue with the small steps. You have to re-bound quickly from any discouragement and KEEP DOING the small things.

One of the best tools I’ve found to support the changing process is Hypnosis, it is great because it’s pure positive focus.

It helps you by-pass the weight of your existing programming and reinforce your new intentions. Of course you still need to practice in order to get long-term change, but hypnosis is a great tool to support you in the early stages.

I find Jim Katsoulis has a fantastic program to teach you these techniques, it is called Dream Setting, a step by step process that divided into 4 easy to follow audio files, which helps you clearly define the dreams you have in your life, and puts you on the correct path to making them a reality. I highly recommend you check it out.
