What is Blogging
Blogging can be described as an online journal in which you share your thoughts about specific topics for others to read online. You can write posts as often as you want and any time of the day. Blog posts are displayed in reverse chronological order with the latest blog post displaying first. The post can be written from a personal perspective such as what you do on a daily basis, or like a magazine informing readers of the latest trends. There is a blog for almost any topic you can imagine.
Blog marketing is pretty easy if you have a marketing mind. You may already find that many people use blogs as a diary, many times the bloggers use this purpose are not intended to make money, but simply a way to put their thoughts out there and find others that are going through the same thing.
Blogs come in different styles, formats, and settings, depending on the preference of the user. Many blogging sites, offer built in features such as hyperlink, straight texts, pictures etc. Some blogging sites, even allow you to put video and mp3′s on your blogs.
Basically a blog contains these features:
- Title- which allows you to label your post
- Body- this is the content of your post
- Trackback- other sites can be linked back to your blog
- Permanent link- every article that you write has a URL
- Comments- this allow readers to post comments on your blog.

There are many benefits of blogging, one of the most popular being monetary benefits. It isn’t as easy as it seems or else everyone would be doing it, however, with a little guidance everyone has the opportunity to earn a study income from blogging.
You can have a blog up and running withing minutes with WordPress or Blogger. It is wise to purchase your own domain name and host your blog with a web hosting provider. This way you will have full control over your blog and aren’t under the restrictions of the free services. However, if you are just starting out, the free blogging services will work just fine until you learn the ropes. You can still earn income with those types of blogs until you can set-up a blog on your own.
