One of those changes you should pay attention to is to market your website by using OFFLINE methods to drive additional sales and traffic for your website.

Following are some ideas and suggestion for your consideration.

1. Write and send out real ‘paper & ink’ press releases to your LOCAL media about your business! A lot of time, the national media will pick up interesting stories from local newspapers, you’ll get people to visit your site and it’s free even through the press only publishes at local.

2. Search and find the magazines and newspapers that your prospects actually read, which means your niche market target readers, and then advertise your business there or send them press releases too! You may think trade publications won’t pick up your release, but in fact, they are looking for and need real news everyday for content purpose, so don’t ignore this.

3. Get an ebay seller, put your flyer or ad in each one of his outgoing packages! You can pay them a flat fee for each one that goes out. If you have an affiliate program, code the ads so they could get a percentage of any sales.

4. If your company has the resources, you can create your own ‘special issue’ magazine with some great content and get it distributed by a national magazine distribution company. This method is expensive, but it could be a huge opportunity to explode your business awareness.

You can write the articles that are top-notch. Place ads for your company in it for free. You can also sell ads to other companies in non-competing industries or run ‘affiliate’ ads there to make additional profits.

5. Send your flyers to those small, independent retail stores and ask them to distribute them by stuffing them in with customer’s purchases. If you have an affiliate program, you can encode the flyers with different affiliate code tag for each retailer. As a result, they will get a percentage of any sales! Until the end, they will love the extra revenue you bring to them and you get your ads out for free, minus the cost of printing.
