<p>But who is it you want to attract with your communication? Who are you trying to appeal to? Who are the prospects that spend the most money? Who would be your best customers? Who are the people in it for the long haul? Who will give you a higher lifetime value? Who is that?</p>
<p>These questions are important to think about because in any given marketplace, not all prospects are the same, also not all of them are going to be your prospects.</p>
<p>Example, let&#8217;s say you want to approaching prospects group A and set them as your target, by doing this, you&#8217;re likely going to turn off another group B of the same marketplace.</p>
<p>Why?</p>
<p>I didn&#8217;t mean you can&#8217;t target Group B, I mean it is better to focus and concentrate target one segment Group A first, get it successes and then go for next group.</p>
<p>When you approaching your target group, you need to communicate with them, your communication goals and your messages have to be clear.</p>
<p>In terms of communication, it could be anything &#8211; it could be emails, a report, videos, articles and blog posts etc. It really doesn&#8217;t matter what format you use, as long as it can help you build connection with your market, it can be in any format.</p>
<p>To connect and get your communication deliver successfully, you can through share certain things about yourself, like tell a story with your marketplace, your prospects or clients to make them feel like they know you, to let them feel they connected to you.</p>
<p>No matter what kind of goals you are setting up, ideally, you want your prospects, your customers, your clients and people in your marketplace</p>
<ul>
<li>to feel that you care about them;</li>
<li>you want them get value from the relationship with you;</li>
<li>you want them know they are sharing common values with you;</li>
<li>you want them to always be interested in what you&#8217;re doing;</li>
<li>you want them buy-in to your philosophy; your position; your perspective;</li>
<li>you want to put them in your marketplace, and</li>
<li>you want to establish loyalty.</li>
</ul>
<p>As long as you are getting clarity on your communication, sell more of your stuff and grow your business more etc are just time matter.</p>

<p>In some cases, it&#8217;s good to try to seek perfection. </p>

<p>However, it is different in the business world. The reason is that even if you are an expert marketer, but how your products and service will impact the marketplace are almost impossible to estimate. </p>
<p>On the other hand, in the Internet marketing world, it is almost never do perfect simply. Why? &#8211; because you always testing the things out &#8211; sales page, capture page and etc, it will never be perfect. If you can get it to perfect, you will have everyone (100% of targeted traffic) comes to your site to sign up or buy things. But, most Internet marketing businesses can only claim between 5 and 30% conversions. </p>
<p>In the internet marketing, constant testing is the key to gain higher conversion rates. The more you refine your marketing pieces the better &#8211; you can always find what works and then retest endlessly.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s a vehicle in which you can deliver your pondering, self-written articles, thoughts, tutorials and whatever it is you wish to write. It is a platform from which you can categorise your interests, hobbies, favourites sites even your other online pursuits.</p>
<p>A blog, which is a term for &#8220;web log&#8221;, is a website in which the blogger makes entries called blog posts, generally listed in reverse-chronological order. As opposed to a static website, a blog is active because blog posts are made on a regular basis, earlier entries or post are archived. It has also been referred to, sort of, an online journal.</p>
<p>A Squidoo lens, however, is a single web page that made up of modules, by using those modules, you can create interactive web pages to engage with your readers. Those modules allow you to structure your lens on a particular topic, it is flexible, you can rearrange its display order as well.  </p>
<p>* Poll module &#8211; you can survey your readers on various questions<br />
* Duel Debate module &#8211; it allows your readers to debate a particular topic<br />
* Quiz module &#8211; it enables your audience to test their knowledge on different subjects<br />

<p>Generally several &#8220;modules&#8221; are needed but there&#8217;s a wide choice, advertising revenue is shared with Squidoo or you can give some/all to charity.</p>
<p>From what else I see, Squidoo has potential to go viral and quicker although it did get hit by Google a while back and still seems to be recovering, its worth doing both (Squidoo and blog).</p>
<p>Like any other website or blog, it needs promoting. I&#8217;ve found it reacts well to the usual stuff like articles, YouTube videos etc.</p>
<p>For the Links, you can directly point them to your affiliate sites (subject to some generous limits) or your own blog, or anywhere else you feel like.</p>
<p>If you do a search, you will find lots of free tutorials over the place, includes Squidoo itself, but do remember to double-check them out to make sure they&#8217;re up to date. </p>

<p>January 2nd is the day when all the business owners stop partying and start panicking about how they are going to <a href="http://www.marketingbyann.com/3-tips-to-make-your-online-biz-success-more-in-year-2011/"><u>grow and build their businesses into an even greater success this year</u></a>.</p>
<p>No need to panic. Let&#8217;s kick off the New Year with an article from Dan, &#8220;The Man,&#8221; Kennedy &#8211; </p>
<p><em>Dan S. Kennedy is the provocative, truth-telling author of thirteen business books; a serial, multi-millionaire entrepreneur; trusted marketing advisor, consultant and coach to hundreds of private clients running businesses from $1-million to $1-billion in size; and he influences well over 1-million independent business owners annually through his newsletters, tele-coaching programs, local Chapters and Kennedy Study Groups meeting in over 100 cities.</em></p>
<p>In the article, he shares some dirt cheap ideas that you can use in your business to create &#8220;object&#8221; or &#8220;lumpy&#8221; mail that gets opened, gets peoples attention, and gets people to buy. I enjoyed this article. I know you will too.</p>

<p>I like using &#8220;object mail&#8221; &#8211; with things called &#8220;grabbers&#8221; attached to or enclosed with sales letters &#8211; and this should not be a new concept for you. Unfortunately, a lot of business owners and entrepreneurs are too cheap to use many of the ones I get my private clients to use. So, when a party supply catalog arrived in my mail, and I glanced through it, I thought: here are some ideas even a penny squeezing cheapskate&#8217;ll love&#8230;</p>
<p>I have often used the &#8220;Silver Platter&#8221; letter in my marketing. This is where an inexpensive silver platter dish arrives in an envelope with the following message attached: as you can see, I&#8217;ve sent you this letter on a silver platter. Why? Because I will deliver ___________ to you on a silver platter, too!</p>
<p>But those darned silver platters cost too much, you say. Well, what about paper plates. They&#8217;re cheap. There are Happy Birthday paper plates, NASCAR paper plates, paper plates of every imaginable design. As you can see, I&#8217;ve sent you this letter on a &#8220;summer fun&#8221; paper plate. Why have I done this? Three reasons&#8230; etc.etc.</p>
<p>How about a swizzle stick? The little red and white striped plastic stick you stir coffee with. Can&#8217;t get cheaper than this. Throw a few in or tape one to the letter. Could be: &#8216;I&#8217;m here to stir things up&#8221; &#8230; .. or&#8230; . &#8220;I&#8217;d like to buy you a cup of coffee and take just 11 minutes of your time&#8221;&#8230;</p>
<p>Personalized table reservation cards:</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s an example how you can use this: <strong>Mary Roberts, You Are Seated at Table #4</strong></p>
<p>&#8220;Dear Mary,</p>
<p>As you can see, I&#8217;ve attached a reserved seating card in your name to this letter.</p>
<p>Why? To invite you to sit at &#8220;the new dining room tables,&#8221; that just arrived at ABC Furniture. You can sit and an experience what it will be like having this quality crafted table in your own home while you and your husband are entertaining for the holidays.&#8221;</p>
<p>Or one of those &#8220;HELLO &#8211; MY NAME IS&#8221; sticker-badges. Your first name scrawled on it. It is stuck to the letter, or maybe even the outside of the envelope.</p>
<p>&#8220;Dear John,</p>
<p>If we met in person at the recent Jewelry EXPO, I&#8217;d have had this badge on. But I missed meeting you. A shame, because I have the most beautiful jewelry and gems you can take home to your wife to tell her how special she is&#8230; &#8221;</p>
<p>Or a big pirate flag with skull and crossbones, that unfurls.</p>
<p>&#8220;<strong>Yoho, yoho, a pirate&#8217;s life you&#8217;ll lead</strong> &#8212; At ABC Menswear, our prices are so low&#8230; it&#8217;s like it is   LEGALLY STEALING&#8230; in fact, our competitors call us a damned pirate&#8230; ..&#8221;</p>
<p>Need I go on.</p>
<p>This is how I think! How do YOU think?</p>
<p>When I get ANY catalog, when I prowl through ANY store or mall, read ANY magazine or newspaper, my antennae&#8217;s up, for ideas that can translate for profit. I think most people go through life, antennae down.</p>
<p>Anyway, you need to remember that direct-mail is salmon swimming upstream to spawn; it must survive obstacles and challenges along the way. It must be DELIVERED. It must then survive the A-pile, B-pile, C-pile sort. It must be OPENED. It must be READ. And we don&#8217;t often talk about this, but it must CAPTURE INTEREST AND IMAGINATION, it must ENTERTAIN; not to distraction, not so the &#8220;fun&#8221; overwhelms, but enough that the recipient/reader is engaged and feels good about <strong>the experience</strong> of handling, reading and considering it. </p>
<p>Getting, opening, and going through a direct-mail piece should be a <strong>good experience</strong>. When someone opens your envelope, it should be a <strong>rewarding experience</strong>.</p>
<p>This is THE advantage you have with direct-mail that does NOT exist with any other media. By all means, capitalize on it.</p></blockquote>
