By saying that, here are the 10 tips for using social media to drive traffic to your websites and turn more potential audiences to customers.
1. Complete Your Profile on Different Social Media Sites
Many people don’t think this is important, but it is the first thing you must do when you open your Twitter, Facebook, Google+ or other social media site account, fill out your profile (including a picture), doing so makes it easier for people to get to know you and build relationships with you.
2. Interact and Engaging
Social sites are, by definition, social. They are two-way streets (not monologues), that’s why you shouldn’t just post content and move on. Instead, spend a few minutes each day interacting, communicating, engaging and getting to know people in your network.
I didn’t mean you have to interact and build relationships with thousands of prospects, you shall consider to connect and build a mutual relationship with a handful of people or circle, such as with +Stephan Hovnanian, +Mark Crosling and many other awesome peeps on Google+. You never know who or maybe just one good partner can send you hundreds or thousands of prospects and customers.
3. Include a link to your site on your profile page
This tip is simple but effective: Give people a reason to click-through from the social media site to your blog or a landing page or another social media site that you are on. This promise of a free solution usually makes for a good enticement.
4. Ask your followers to “retweet” “share” “comment” and re-post
If you create a “buzzworthy” post (such as a post on a hot or even controversial niche topic), as your Twitter followers to “retweet” it and ask your other social media networks to re-post it.
5. Spend time each day growing your network
Commit to what you do, spend at least 10 minutes each day to connect with new people and growing your network, example, my newest connection on GooglePlus is +Annetta Powell. By doing it, you will see big results at the end of the month, and you will be amazed at the size of your network in six months or a year from now. Always remember that in this world, there is no free lunch, and nothing can happen overnight, so you need to work on it!

People who want to do business with you won’t respond with “LovelyDoll72” Instead, build a trust by using your name, doing this also makes it easier for others to find you on the social media sites.
8. Post good content
Social media is not just about networking, it’s also about information sharing. Post quality and informative content with your network, you will get respected by others, earn the trust and in return gain more followers and business.

9. Optimize some of your content
To stay in the good grace of Google and other search engines, make sure your website or blog’s content adds value to the customer or prospect who visit it. These search engines are looking for content that is well crafted and actually provides useful information to the visitor, so remember to optimizing your content and including relevant (long tail) keywords in your content.
