Speaking of those social media or social networking sites, no matter you like them or not, I find it is a really great place for connecting with others. The best of all is that you can through this kind of site to get in touch with your friend who has been lost in contact for so many years. That’s what happened to me…

Last week, a friend of mine who I have been lost in touch for five years find me through Facebook. Guess what, we are all living in Bangkok, which actually not too far from each other (only few stop by train), however, don’t know why, we just couldn’t get in touch with each other. So last Saturday we met up and got catch up … It was great reconnect and we had a very good discussion in many things … thanks Facebook.

Ok, before get into this week’s newsletter, I would like to thanks for all of you who wrote email with the questions in regarding to the Internet marketing, blogging, website design and hosting, as well as how to make money online etc. Thank your guys for putting trust in me and thanks for taking time wrote all those emails. I appreciated it. Your guys are awesome!

In order to help you achieve better results toward to your online business, I highly suggest that you go to the Forum and post your questions or answers there, share with others. It doesn’t mean I don’t care about you, it doesn’t mean I don’t want to receive your email and answer you in person, I am glad to do that!

What I mean is that I believe - get more of other people’s brain together will work better than only one brain. Thus, if more people see your questions, and messages, then there are more ideas and answers you will get, which will be much better just get from me – one brain.

Okay, let’s go back to this week’s edition.

Nowadays wherever you go, you may hear many people say that - We are in a tough economy now! Well, I am not offending it, from different point of view, yes; we are in that kind of situation now. The economy down is not only happens in a single country, it happens in the global market as well.

Thailand markets in red as crisis deepens; Europe struggles to cope with meltdown. According to the local newspaper,

“The Stock Exchange of Thailand slid 6.48% yesterday (6th Sep 2008) to a five-year low, mirroring sharp losses elsewhere. Japan’s Nikkei dropped 4.25% to a four-year low, while Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore all lost more than 5%. Jakarta was the biggest loser, with the Indonesia Stock Exchange’s main index off over 10%. Analysts said with the US and Europe slowing sharply, Asian economies and exporters would inevitably be hit.”

People are feared! It is indeed not good news for people who are invested in the stock market. Believe me, I understand your fears …

With all the current talk of failing banks, collapsing real estate markets, and imploding stocks, I wouldn’t blame you if you feel like taking every spare penny you have right now, stuffing it in your mattress, and waiting for this entire mess to blow over!

Well, what can you do then? The reality and the fact is already there, you know you can’t avoid and escape from it. However, the thing I want to say is - no matter what the situation is or whatever it will come (better, or bad, or worse), the key is Not to let fear rule your business decisions.

Now is actually the time for you to invest in your internet or affiliate business, with time, money or both. Starting an Internet business is something you should consider, no matter WHAT the economy looks like. The things you do now will help grow the economy and you’ll grow your business, too.

If you want to start your own internet or affiliate business and looking for ‘How Tos’ in different areas, e,g, online marketing, promoting and online business methodology etc. I strongly recommend you to get yourself a copy of Online Profiting - simple ways to start your own online business.

I emphasized that is because;

- The start-up or initial costs of Internet businesses are very low compare to the traditional businesses. You can get your website running for less than the cost of a couple of nights out to the party, your “emergency” cash don’t need to tie up, or go into debt when you start your online business.

- Online sales have never been STRONGER! A recent report published by Forrester Research indicates that, despite the ailing economy, ecommerce sales will jump from $204 billion this year to nearly $335 billion in 2012. In the next four years, e-commerce will experience to have over $130 billion of growth (click here to read the detail information)

- Unlike local brick-and-mortar businesses, which are typically at the mercy of the local economy, with online business, you have access to an entire GLOBAL market. So even if U.S. shoppers are feeling pinched, you’ll still have plenty of other customers to turn to.

- And finally, you can start your internet business even while you’re working your “day” job (work in the evening or whenever is convenience for you) You can continue to enjoy a regular source of income while you work to make your site successful. It will hardly work with a regular brick-and-mortar business. If you don’t believe, then try it yourself.

On the other hand, if you already in the online world, here are the tips for help you growing your business.

1. Increase your marketing budget and market your business more

You may disagree with me on this point or you may say I am crazy. Yes, by normal business practice, during the tough economic times, many companies will cut their marketing budgets, lay off their staff, and reduce the number of marketing campaigns instead of increase it.

I am not saying they do it is a mistake, but I disagree with it. If you intention is to make more money, you need to market more, even it is bad marketing, but still, it is better than no marketing. It is quite simple actually - if you’re afraid to throw your business out there, you will fail because nobody knows you and your business. The more you market. The better you will get at it.

2. Invest the right amount of money in your marketing

It may be difficult for you to invest more money in marketing if you are in a money pinch right now. However, there are many other methods you can use, which are free and great. Writing articles and submit them to the Article Marketer or Aff Sphere really isn’t a problem.

If you are still worry and not sure about your marketing investment, you can calm down and sit there do your income and expenses analysis and see which part, or where you can make cuts. Get rid of any expenses that produce poor results and use that extra money to put into the methods that get good results.

3. Expand your product line

If you are in the affiliate business, you know this is easy to do. There are thousands, possibly millions of affiliate programs are available for you to choose. Clickbank is the good place to start. In this marketplace, you will find many different types of products whichever you find that are interested you. And add them to your product portfolio and get your product line expanded.

4. Expand Your Business

Expand your business can be in many things, such as, recruit new employees, adding new content to your website and so forth. It doesn’t necessarily mean you have to spend money. It can also mean add more value to your business, example, and look at ways to add to your business and get more done in less time.

At the end of the day, starting and expanding your own Internet business during a recession, or whatever they’re calling the current economic situation is an excellent form of job security!

Let’s keep the wind behind your sales. :-)

Till next time - Happy online success.

Cheers
Ann
