Unbelievable it is July, Christmas 2007 just around the corner and New Year 2008 is on its way already. 
So how was your week go?
I had a productive week actually, one of the things I did during the weekend is created MBA Forum. It is a brand new born baby, and it needs a lot of caring, supporting and feeding …
I am not a superman, without you, MBA Forum cannot achieve its success. So if you have time, please come to join us, when you are there, please do not forget stop by and say ‘hello’. I am really appreciating your time.
If you have been on the internet marketing for any length of time, for sure you know besides writing articles, keyword research, and search engine optimization; send email to your subscribers, ezine publishing, and press release and web 2.0 marketing strategies etc. The other extremely popular internet marketing strategy that people like to use to market their business, product or service is through writing post to forum.
Use forum to promote and marketing business is not a new concept. It has been using by marketers for many years already. Web surfers had found out that through forum marketing, meeting other people who have similar interested as them are very helpful, under the mutual topic; there is no filter in between.
The basic idea of the forum is to give and get useful information and motivation for your businesses. Forums allow you to build a relationship and interact with your target market, and it also allows you to drive traffic to your website. It helps you build useful back-links and bring steady flow of visitors. These links and visitors are hot. They are so targeted than a visitor can be.
From my personal point of view, I think forums should be treated like a goldmine because that is exactly what they are.
People have all different goals for posting on a forum. Some of them may want to have new email subscribers, some of them want to make sales, and some of them want to get more traffic to their website, some of them just want to share the knowledge and help others etc.
No matter what goals you have in your mind, you must treat it as though you are just there to talk and discuss topics on the subject.
The things has to be careful is if you go to a forum and just make posts in order to gain exposure, eventually you probably find yourself get banned quickly instead of get rewarded. So when you post any topic to the forum, you should only post when you have something of value to contribute, or if you have something important to say on the subject in discussion.
One of the trick to post to the forum is that treat it as though you are really talking to people face to face and try to build good relationships, this will be better for your long term marketing.
Everyone has some knowledge or interest in something. So that is one of the reason motivated me create MBA Forum - a place to share your knowledge and expertise, to participate, to help and interact with others.
I know it is hard and expensive to get your business out and be noticed by others, so to help your business gain better visibility, you will find there an Announcement section in MBA Forum. This is the place for you to place your business, product or service. Post your advertising there to get free-targeted link to your site or product. However, please don not spam.
