Review Your Goals and Adjust Them

Greetings All,

Hope your week is productive and awesome :-)

It has been said; over 95% of those at trying to build an online business (generally operated out of their homes, in their spare time) are failing. This failure rate is one you’ll hear quoted often. Well the thing is – the online failure rate is no higher than it is in the brick and mortar world. It’s just that most people starting businesses online would never dare start one offline.

My beliefs, and my observations of the way the world works, teach me that you receive in direct proportion to what you give. The more you give, the more you receive. So be a giver instead of just be a taker will always give your opportunity to step ahead of others and have an abundance life.

The bulk of this week’s posts started with download free landing page templates, click2sell update, publish your blog to amazon kindle, seo, membership script, how to save your online business special offer & deals etc.

* How to Save Your Online Business

For years I have been telling my readers, customers and subscribers that all you have to do is walk one mile further when everyone else stops. That extra mile makes all the difference. And once you make a habit of this, you will first discover who are you and what you can do, and then you will discover your online destiny.

When THAT happens, magic comes into your life

You need a coder just right for you … s/he appears out of nowhere.

You need a special writer… s/he emails you out of nowhere.

You need the right partner… and s/he comes and shakes hands.

What I want to say is that other people step aside so that you can move on and your angels prepare the road for you.

In building a successful online business, you need a well thought out plan. If you fail to plan, then by default, YOU PLAN TO FAIL. You’ll spend too much time ‘chasing your tail’ – not really headed in ANY direction. FOCUSED effort is one of the big secrets to success.

If you can, spend some time, clearly defining what you ultimately hope to achieve. Write you goals down on paper. Review them frequently. Use these goals to plan how you will build the business you really want to build.

I saw there are too many people throw up a website, and say that they’re building an online business – with no clearly defined goals. They spend most of their time jumping from chore to chore not really moving forward. Because they don’t know what they ultimately want to achieve, they can’t know if they are moving toward achieving it!

As you review your goals from day to day, feel free to adjust them. Your written goals are a success tool. They are not etched in stone and can be adjusted as things in your life change. You must have goals to guide you, but they don’t control you.

In order to become a real online success, you also must realize from the beginning that you must be ULTRA organized. There are so many chores involved in building a business that you must be able to clearly identify the individual chores. Then you must be able to decide what needs doing first, and you must focus on doing that chore FIRST. Fail to do this, and you will make very little headway. That’s why it’s so critical that you have a written plan and that you review it frequently.

Honestly with you, it’s so easy to get side tracked and then discover MONTHS later that what you have been doing isn’t moving you toward achieving your goals.

Another thing you need to realize is that YOU CAN’T DO EVERYTHING YOURSELF.

Building a successful online business generally involves:

- Developing or finding a product or service that is in demand and has a large market willing to pay to have you solve some problem.

- Having a system for contacting that market and making them aware of your product or service.

- Reminding that market of your product or service frequently so that when they recognize that they need this product or service they also realized that you are who they should get it from.

- Continuously striving to reach more members of this market.

- Developing or locating additional products or services that this market needs and wants.

- Making this market aware of these additional ‘backend’ products or services.

Other chores include:

- Building a list of people who are interested in what you are ‘selling.’

- Staying in contact with this list of people.

- Conveying to this list of people how and why what you are selling is the solution to one of their problems, wants, or needs.

- Building a website which helps you locate suitable prospects for your product.

- Utilizing as many means as practical to locate members of your target market and drawing them into your ‘system.’

This last sub-chore is VERY important. It often takes many contacts with a prospect before they will buy. They need to get to know you, trust you, and realize that your product or service fulfills one of their needs or wants. Your ‘system’ must be set up to capture their contact information, track your contacts with them, and AUTOMATICALLY follow-up. If your follow up is not automated, you won’t achieve 5% of the success that you would otherwise achieve.

Till next time – happy sharing :-)

Cheers!!
