Amazon’s newest “aStore by Amazon” giving you the ability to build a dedicated shopping area, the new beta test from Amazon that allows you to make your own Amazon store. |
With this new affiliate marketing concept, you can embedded aStore into your own website so when visitors order products, they will never leave your site and the shopping cart also appears as right on your domain.
To have a look, you can check out my Reading for Success Book Store that I built by embedding the Amazon aStore into one of my pages using an iframe.
The process of building aStore is pretty easy, here you go:
1. Search and find the individual products that you want to display at your website
2. Add the category pages
3. Give the page a name
4. Select a customize theme or edite color & design for the Amazon portion of the page
5. Give your bookstore a title
6. Choose either a left or right-hand sidebar
7. Select which widgets / options you would like to display for each page type in the sidebar
8. Click “finish and get link”, you can get a simple link for your store, or a link to embed your store in either an inline frame or a frameset.
Here is standand alone version, this is the easiest way to integrate your aStore; however, I don’t like it because it will appear to my users as if they are leaving my website when visiting my store.
Then I find inline frame was easier to use. So I cut and paste my usual headers and footers around the Amazon aStore link, then my little Reading for Success Book Store was born
If you click a book on my site as if you were going to order and then add to cart. You will notice since everything is in an iframe, it appears you are still on my site but in reality you are on Amazons secure server.
Because my page wide pixels is narrower than aStore’s, so I have to stretched the orginal from 740 pixels wide to 800 pixels wide to make the aframe fit to my page otherwise the right-hand column gets pushed off the page.
And welcome to Reading for Success Book Store

Hi, as you have discovered, aStore from Amazon is a great way to easily integrate and promote your amazon affiliate products from within your website. However, checkout astoreproxy.com for a few drawbacks and the solution.
