Greetings All!
Speaking of social networking, I don’t know if you’re much into it or not. Twitter is one of well over 1000 social networking sites that I know of, and it is one of the most popular ones. Yes, there are a lot of mixed opinions on Twitter specifically, but Twitter just got more useful to the small business crowd.
If you haven’t heard about twitter, here is what all about - Twitter is an online application that is part blog, part social networking site, part cell phone / IM tool. It is simply as blogging for regular people. It is a free service works by letting you broadcast your text message to your friends’ mobile phones from either from your own phone, an instant message or from an online form at twitter.com.
So no matter what you are doing, how busy you are, or don’t have much to say, you can posts your message up to 140 characters, and the topic is, invariably, “what are you doing?” Read more

FriendFeed Open to Everyone
February 27, 2008 | Written by annliu | Filed Under Alert & Opinion & News
FriendFeed.com just opened its doors to public, you don’t need any invitation to use this site anymore, everybody can go and create an count there.
Friendfeed is a social feed aggregator that lets you keep track of your friends across 28 Websites and services, which includes Twitter, Flickr, Digg, StumbleUpon, del.icio.us, YouTube, blog posts, shared items on Google Reader, Amazon wish lists, and what they are watching on Netflix.
It’s a potentially useful service that aggregates what your friends are doing around the Web into one big feed you can scan easily.
In other words, if you’ve got friends who are using Twitter service, friends who post photos on Flickr, friends who favorite videos on YouTube, and friends who tag music on Last.fm or sites on del.icio.us, Friendfeed will keep track all of of them for you.
Basically FriendFeed is a way to become aware of what people you know or respect are doing across dozens of different Websites. That super-aggregation of feeds from popular social sites.
Erick Schonfeld from TechCrunch has an interesting post about the service;
FriendFeed is a way to filter the Web through the eyes of your friends. And it is a way to have semi-private discussions about what you find. It is a social discovery engine and a communications platform. Most great Websites are built around communications. You can add a comment on any post or Twitter or Flickr photo shared by your friends. Not surprisingly, that communication is one of the most active ways members in the beta have been using the service. read more ..

When he tried to delete his Facebook page, it took two months to get his information erased from the social network.
No matter you are a member of Facebook or not, I think this article - On Facebook, Leaving is Hard To Do is a good read, it is written by Maria Aspan and published on February 11, 2008 IHT website.
It says in the article,
Some users have discovered that it is nearly impossible to remove themselves entirely from Facebook, setting off another round of concern over the popular social network’s use of personal data.
Facebook’s Web site does not inform departing users that they must physically delete information from their account in order to fully close it - meaning that they may unwittingly leave anything from e-mail addresses to credit card numbers sitting on Facebook servers. Only people who contact Facebook’s customer service department are informed that they must painstakingly delete, line by line, all of the profile information, messages and group memberships they ever created within Facebook, read more …
