Recently, I got a chance to attend “couleurs du lotus” fundraising event at Bed Superclub Bangkok in towards the construction of Lotus Flower Foundation’s (LFF) rehabilitation shelter in Nondburi . The event went great; I learn many new things from the event, as well as learn about the organization.

Lotus Flower Foundation is a non-government (NGO), non-religious and non-profit organization. The mission of the organization is to eradicate the abuse of children in by raising social awareness through sustainable methods, such as policy change and education, encouraging social cooperation to report child abuse.

Children who are victims of abuse are generally very vulnerable to drug or alcohol addiction as well as repeated sexual exploitation. Many child victims in find it hard to break free of the vicious cycle of abuse, which cause them often go on to display abusive behavior themselves. Read more

12th August is her Majesty Queen Sirikit of ’s birthday. First, I would like to wish Her Majesty the Queen a happy birthday! :-)

The Queen, who rules not only the brains but also the hearts of the people, has earned deep respect for herself with her hard work for the welfare of Thai society and crafts. The citizens of have deep reverence for her.

rat.gifChinese New Year is approach soon, if you are celebrate this tradition, I wish you, your family and your loved one a very happy Chinese New Year and have a great time together, get all the good luck and wealth in the year of Rat, and also get lot of ‘Ang Pao’ (red money packet) :-)

In , Chinese New Year is still observed by tens of thousands of ethnic Chinese who will take the day off to hand out the lucky red money packets to their children, visit relatives and the eat plenty of salty duck and chicken.

But the festival no longer entails the citywide shutdown it did in the past, especially in Bangkok since the 1997 economic crisis, which meltdown dealt a financial blow not only to Thai-Chinese companies but also to Chinese corporate culture that was previously on lavish display during the Lunar New Year.
