To really sell from affiliate programs you have to do one of two things: either you can use them for back end sales, or you will need to carefully weave them into the content of your site. Throwing up a few banners or ads simply won’t be enough.

There are a few things I would suggest you to consider if you choose to go for content rich web site:

1. Create a Niche Site

A niche content rich site means a site that markets specific products to a specific market. Here are some of the Niche Market List for you to use as reference.

2. Choose Affiliate Programs

Every product you market on your site should be related. If you’re creating a site for webmasters, for example, you’ll want to offer software to build web sites, scripts, reference books and etc.

And everything should be specifically geared to your topic. A narrow, more focused topic will draw more traffic than a broad one.

3. Create Content

There are many ways that you can create content for your web site.

You can write key word rich articles and product reviews that related to the products you are selling, and of course, a newsletter.

You can also add interactivity to your site. You can use scripts to create message boards, discussion lists, classifieds, and more to draw visitors to your site.

Engage them. There are plenty of sites out there that offer terrific scripts you can use free.

You can also use Perl and CGI scripts. Although they can be a little harder to install than javascript, but they add a lot more interactivity to your site. But do check with your web hosting, many web hosting services offer pre-installed scripts you can use.

4. Collect Emails

You can create a mailing list through a newsletter, free e-course, or an ebook to people who come to your site. Whatever you are going to offer, Just make sure that you collect their email address because you want to contact them later.

But if you want use free wp templates, it requires a link back to the designer and/or are difficult to customize. Some bloggers like to use Thesis or other similar templates that are easier to customize. That’s another $87.

2) Tools – ditto for tools, without the right tools, you’re stuck again. To find out all the right ones, you need to put tons of time into it and you also need to figure it out by yourself, not to mention dollars to buy. But with SBI, all the tools are there.

3) Help and guidance – instead of hundreds of forums, boards etc. that cover many different e-biz related topics, often with posters who have ulterior motives, SBIers have ONE very special, “help and be helped” forum to answer ALL questions.

4) Updating and upgrading – if you do it by yourself, it would takes hours per week to keep things up to date. The Internet Marketing and e-Biz world is an EXTREMELY distracting world. If that is what you want to do, and if you understand how that changes your audience and monetization, WordPress is the best way to blog.

However, if you want to build a bigger business, and build one with more momentum and more ways to monetize, you should use SBI! In the long run, it’s more time-and-dollar efficient and do-able.

And the best of all, you can ADD a WordPress blog to your SBI! site, but you cannot add SBI! to WP, nor can you upload your own HTML with WordPress. So if you want to do all together, the right order is SBI!, then WP.

There are just so many serious, full businesses you can build, for those, “SBI! out-of-the-box” is the way to go, its simply better for most people who want to build an e-business.
